A Bite of SF Sourdough: Chambray Shirtdress & Taupe Oxfords

If there’s one thing the Bay knows how to do (there are many, but this one is special), it’s sourdough bread. Oh, how I missed a baguette of scrumptious Acme sourdough — add cheese and fresh fruit (figs, preferably!) or jam, and you have the yummiest afternoon snack. Or maybe toast it and make a turkey and herb sandwich — mmmmm, my mouth is watering at the thought. 🙂 On the hunt for some sourdough, Jacqueline and I headed to the Ferry Building Farmers’ Market this weekend. And besides picking up a fantastic sandwich from Cowgirl Creamery, we did find some bread! It was so nice to be back in the city and just stroll.

I love the efficiency of shirtdresses!! This one is so soft and true quality, and though the fabric is breezy, it’s thick. I picked it out specifically for fall — I knew it would be great by itself while the weather is still warm, and beautiful under a sweater or coat, and paired with rainboots or riding boots when the weather gets cooler. The tie allows for a flattering cinched waist, and I’m a total sucker for any dress with pockets.

Now chattin’ about these shoes, which are part of the Target/dv collection. I’m pretty vocal about my love of loafers, mules, and oxfords — they’re all in the same sophisticated flat shoe family for me. Some of my favorite oxford posts can be found here, here, and here. Taupe is such a subtle and versatile color — these shoes will fit with so much of my fall wardrobe!

I have featured this bag before here, and it still is available. I love it because it’s my go-to travel bag and excellent for days like this, when I’m carrying more items. It fits my laptop too, which is a plus! The price is only $30 right now, and the quality is well worth it.

I totally left a piece of my heart in San Francisco. Being back this weekend was the sweetest breath of fresh air. My heart soared just being a city girl again, and I entered this week happy and refreshed.
