Pink Sweater and Bow

When it comes to pink, I honestly cannot help myself — I have to have whatever it is, wherever it is, whenever it is. I’m a serious pink-aholic. 😉 Add flowers to the mix, and I’m pretty sure you have the perfect accessory to complete an ultra-feminine look, at least that’s how I felt in this sweater, bow, and hydrangea combo. Grab your morning coffee — it’s Monday, so coffee is a definite yes — and follow along with me!

I haven’t been able to shed this sweater since I bought it, partially because the round collar and slightly oversized nature of it makes it one of the more comfy options in my wardrobe. But of course, what sold me was the color! I don’t know that this blush can be beat, and especially with Bay Area weather being a tad unpredictable, I’m excited that this is one piece that will transition effortlessly into spring, no matter if the weather feels springy or not.

You know me and bows — at this point, I’m thoroughly infatuated, and I think this one takes the cake. Not only is a rich pink but it’s double-tiered, velvet on the top and satin on the bottom. I seriously am in love! The bow is actually pre-tied and attached to a ponytail holder, something that at first I felt dubious about. But, I assure you, it’s so easy to put in. Plus, look at how well it lays!! I’m happy to say my heart belongs to this bow. 🙂

I cannot speak highly enough of this bag! Time and time again, it is my airport personal item, my internship tote, my general I-need-to-bring-my-laptop-but-still-look-chic handbag. The fact that it fits my laptop (a 13-inch MacBook Air!) is by far the most amazing quality of it, plus it fits my DSLR camera, an outfit change, and a few makeup items. If you can’t tell, I use this on the go when I’m headed out to work on YC! It’s such an affordable price, and I’ve gotten so much use out it.

My shoes (last seen here!) are one of my favorite pairs of oxfords. I love that they’re slip-on and the faux leather is another perfect transition into spring. Don’t you like how the flower detailing matches the hydrangeas? 😉 Such a comfortable and classy shoe!

For my makeup and hair, I kept it simple. Blush is something I incorporate everyday (it’s my favorite!) but I applied a little extra to highlight the pink, and I also applied a darker pink Marc Jacobs lipstick shade — we still are in winter, so I’m trying to restrain myself ha — linked below!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

  1. Gorgeous outfit. My favorite part is the bow – it looks so soft and pretty. How did you get it to tie with two loops like that? Please teach me!

    1. Thanks so much, Mimi!! The bow I’m wearing is part of a hair tie and can be purchased here. Another cute one can be found here!
