I mentioned how my family came out this weekend for Parents’ Weekend. Whenever the four of us are altogether, we often spend our time by doing something active. My dad loves being out in nature, and the rest of us tag along for the ride — we can be a pretty outdoorsy bunch! This weekend we decided to go and explore some of the hikes around Point Reyes, including this one which wrapped around the San Andreas Fault Line (earthquake territory!). I pulled out a brand new pink(!) vest especially for the occasion.
Love me a classic vest during fall! I happened upon this one when I was writing this post a few weeks back, and I couldn’t help but pick it up. I’m of the opinion that a person can never own too many vests. As a light layer to throw on, vests are handy and functional — plus, they pack well! I fell in love with this soft blush color. It’s a pretty shade, and lovely for autumn!
Time to bring out the duck boots once again! They are a fall/winter staple (remember this post, this post, or this post from last year?).With the rubber soles on the bottom, they’re great for adventuring in areas that might be a little wet or muddy — hikes, apple picking, or even after a rainy day. I’ve gotten so much use of out them since I got a pair last season, and if your looking for an alternative (and more affordable) pairs to the ones from L.L. Bean, these are the ones I have!
I absolutely love taking walks outside in the fall, and dressing the part is key. Though we got a dose of chillier weather last week, the heat has unfortunately returned. Hopefully it will be vest weather again really soon!
