My name is Hayleigh & it’s so nice to meet you. 🙂
This is a place you’ll find timeless fashion that’s a mix of city chic and classically preppy, personable musings, and hopefully a lot of joy.
When I decided to create Young Cosmopolite, I knew I wanted to reach strong women engaged in the world with a defined style and knack for taste — in a word, “cosmopolites.”
I’m a lover of fashion, a curator of cities, and a college student with a lot to learn, and so Young Cosmopolite was born. There’s plenty of surprises in store for you, and again from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Q & A
Where do you go to school?
I attend UC Berkeley, about a 20-minute BART ride (our public transportation — imagine a smaller subway!) from San Francisco. I’m majoring in English and minoring in American history, and this is actually my senior year because I’m graduating a year early!
What do you do in your free time?
When I’m not working on YC (scouting photoshoot locations, taking photos, writing posts, organizing social media all fill my free minutes), I love experimenting with typography. I also work out regularly (my favorite workouts are spin and HIIT classes!), which is so important just for “me” time. I loveee reading and spending days curled up in coffee shops, going to the theater, and cooking with friends.
Where are you from?
I’m from Southern California in Orange County (See: MTV’s Laguna Beach). Living in the Bay Area is incredible and I pinch myself every day when I see the Golden Gate Bridge walking to class, but I’m planning on heading to the East Coast for law school after undergrad.
What catches your eye when shopping?
Details!!! I love little additions that transform an average piece of clothing into something unique and different. This includes visible stitching, a creative collar, a classic fabric or print, and above all, BOWS — which I also happen to wear in my hair quite frequently. 🙂
