Nothing says summer quite like the Fourth of July. Fireworks, BBQs, and fizzy drinks — and then of course, who can resist picking out an outfit in red, white, and blue? 😉 I think America’s history is the coolest (I’m an American history minor, so definitely a bit of a history nerd!), and the founding of our country is definitely something worth going all out over. This easy outfit, complete with a pop of my favorite red is something perfect to pull off if you’re looking for a piece last-minute!
This top is a one-stop shop for the Fourth, featuring all of the holiday’s best colors. It’s on sale right now for under $20 with code JULY. I love the ruching detail at the top, and the subtle frays around the sleeves and bottoms. Also, the shirt isn’t too over-the-top, so it could be worn season-long! White shorts are a summer staple — I’ve been wearing these on repeat. And my sandals have been featured on YC here and here. You could say I’m obsessed!
Though a red bandana is a common Fourth accessory, but I loved finding this headband (and there’s another one that’s star spangled!). The bow has wire in the inside, so you can fix it to your liking. I wore it with my hair down and curled, but I think it would be perfect with a topknot as well.
In the words of Hamilton (ugh, canNOT get enough of that soundtrack!), “America sings for you.” Wishing you all the best celebrating!! Stay safe, and to you readers not from the States, have a wonderful weekend!
