Happy Wednesday! Normally when I put together these style guides, I focus on three things: clothing, shoes, and handbags. Today I wanted to pay a little extra attention to the items that take a simple outfit and make it extraordinary — accessories! This fall is 100% hitting the mark in terms of fabrics, colors, and prints, and these trends are trickling into accessories as well. I’m linking some of my favorites today, all under $50!
Wool berets are everywhere, and I’m predicting we will start seeing them pop up all over Instagram soon. This taupe one is too cute and very feminine. I’d style it for an autumn evening out or day window shopping.
Truth be told, I am horrible about wearing sunnies. But I’m trying to get better! I love the style of these — they’d fit so well with jeans, riding boots, and a simple sweater. They’re a pair that will easily last all season long and under $15!
Anthropologie debuted all of these fall floral silk scarves, and I am absolutely obsessed. I can’t pick out a favorite — they’re all so intricate and richly-colored. Tied around the neck, in the hair, or on a handbag, each would be sure to dress up an outfit this season!
Velvet is all over this autumn, and I personally love to wear it in my hair (see: this post). There are some cute hair ties here in a variety of colors of sizes. Though purchasing a spool of ribbon can work, these are hassle-free and ensure your bow looks effortless each time.
Having a vest (or several!) is a staple fall accessory. It’s easy to throw on as an extra layer of warmth and to spice up an outfit. This blush color would be a darling addition to any wardrobe — it would pair so well with cognacs, tans, creams, and neutrals!
Tortoise is such a fall pattern. These barrettes in various sizes are suited for sweeping your hair up into chic ponytails and half up-dos. It’s the details that matter, and these will definitely add a little something extra to an easy hairstyle.
Thick scarves are another must as the weather gets chillier. This one is reversible, offering two different looks! The tan plaid and houndstooth are both versatile, and I appreciate that you can style this scarf in more than one way.
Belts are perfect to add to shirt dresses and jeans. Exposing a pop of cognac is also a great way to add to a simple outfit. This belt is timeless and looks strong, clean, and tailored. It would look excellent with most outfits.
Lately, I have been loving marled knit — it’s just so cozy! These socks are sure to be too, and I love that they come in this beautiful marsala color. Wear them alone when lounging or pair with low boots!
