The start to my week has consisted of getting acclimated to being back at school and starting preparation for sorority recruitment season. It’s been a bit hectic, and for every item I cross off my to-do list, I seem to add two more. With class starting again next week for me, I’ve been picking up some last minute items to get my backpack and desk ready for the new school year — it’s so important to have an organized working space! I stumbled upon so many items I loved in my search, I decided they deserved a blog post!
I’ve used Lilly agenda for years — the sunshiney prints are so bright and happy that I find opening my planner to be the best part of my morning (until I have to write my to-do list and realize how behind I am on well, everything aha). I section out each day for each of my classes, so I’ve developed a system that works, but I’ve also heard great things about Day Designers and Lauren James timeless agendas if you are looking for more space and structured organization.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in college, it’s that a portable charger is a necessity. Being on campus for so many hours, a phone’s battery can easily drain and outlets aren’t always accessible. A charger comes in handy in the most dire of moments and can be a literal lifesaver. Plus, this pattern is too cute!
I mentioned Elizabeth St.’s Etsy shop back in this post. Her nautical watercolors are so elegant! Having a notepad on your desk is a must. I have 4 going right now, where I jot down grocery lists, to-do’s, and other random thoughts and ideas. I also love this R. Nichols New York Notepad Set, and this Sugar Paper LA Blush Lined Notepad.
I love the blush of these Poppin products! Having a matching set will make a wonderful pop (no wonder they call it Poppin!) of color on a desk. Plus, even if you think it’s extraneous (I definitely thought I could get by without them), staples and tape are taken for granted — definitely pick some up.
I love having a classic calendar on my desk. Just like my planner, I use it. (I’ve really tried, but Google Calendars just isn’t as fun for me!). This sweet little calendar will also be feeding your wanderlust as it features artistic prints of places around the world.
I picked up a pencil case that’s very similar to this! The design is subtle and sophisticated, which I love. Honestly, I can’t live without a pencil bag to hold my pens and random items. This one comes with some cute accessories too!
Having a desk organizer definitely comes in handy. This one is versatile and sharp because of the tri-colored cups and also will fit all of the essentials — I’m talking about pens, pencils, scissors, a ruler, etc.
These are my favorite pens. I use them for typography and calligraphy, but also for taking notes because the super small sizes (.05 and 01) allow for extra neat writing. Though the tip is fine, the flow is incredible — and! It won’t bleed through to the back of the page even though it’s an ink pen.
Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favorite desk supply companies. This year, I went with some discount Moleskine notebooks, which I hand painted. However, I own some Rifle Paper Co. notebooks as well — their quality is of the same excellent caliber and the outer designs are always whimsical and feminine.
