Macarons in SoHo : Multi-Striped Sweater

Of all my outfits in New York, this was one of my favorites. I wore it during the day on my birthday and just loved the pastel colors, a perfect way to integrate something bright into a winter wardrobe. Every time I go to New York, I struggle to find a favorite part of the city. Everything about New York is inspirationally photogenic, and I find myself falling in love with little nooks and corners over and over again. There is just so much city to love! SoHo holds a special place in my heart — it’s where some of my favorite restaurants and shops are located, and I’ve shared so many good memories in the area. Getting macarons is a must — they are one of my favorite desserts! (The other favorite is ice cream. 🙂 )  The pastel hues of my sweater even matched the macarons at Ladurée!

This sweater caught my eye every time I saw it, so when it showed up under the Christmas tree, I was elated. I saved it especially for New York. Side note, but does anyone else save clothes for special occasions? I love the feeling of wearing something new and preserving the memory with that outfit. Anyway, back to the sweater. The color blocking — especially the green on the cuffs — completely sold me on this piece. And it’s affordable, on sale right now for only $25! For the chilly 30 degree East Coast weather, I layered a camisole and long sleeve under it, but I’m excited to wear it on its own here in the Bay. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend the sweater more — it hits all the marks in comfort, versatility, and uniqueness!

I talked about these over-the-knee boots extensively in this post, but after walking in them for over a week and covering cumulatively 20 miles (according to my Apple Health app), I was pleasantly surprised to find that my feet didn’t hurt a bit. I may have just found the perfect pair of boots. They paired with absolutely everything, even this velvet skirt and Sézane sweater I wore later that night to dinner. And the price is right, at under $50! If you’re in the market for a new pair, these are worth taking a look at!

I polled this question on Instagram, but let me know below too! What’s your favorite macaron flavor? I can never decide…I’m too infatuated with them all!
