Delores Blooms: Floral Bandana & Olive Turtleneck

If you’re like me, you’re finishing up Thanksgiving shopping today (eep, I’m so excited!). I even made a healthy and super simple pumpkin pie yesterday following this recipe. Today I have plans to create a DIY pumpkin floral arrangement, make these little rosemary wreath name cards, and pick up ingredients for our annual cheese plate  — talk about a busy day! Fortunately, today’s outfit is equally comfortable and stylish. And all of these key pieces are on sale for Black Friday! When my mom was out last week, we took to the streets of SF and hit up all of my favorites around Mission Delores: Delores Park, Bi-Rite (cutest market and best ice cream — you have to try the burnt brown sugar!), Tartine (yummiest pastries!), and Ampersand (honestly the sweetest little flower barn I’ve ever laid eyes on!).

I really, really love turtlenecks! Moving to a cooler area, I’ve realized how valuable turtlenecks are when you have to dress for in-between weather. This one (it will only be $25 on Black Friday with code DONTSTRESS) is light and airy. It has a boxier fit, and I kind of never wanted to take it off. I really loved how carefree and breezy it felt! Also, the olive — I have been attracted to olive items all fall long!

If there’s one thing I’m secretly proud of, it’s my scarf collection. I love accumulating new scarves to tie around my neck, wrist, or handbag. It’s a subtle touch but adds such a chic element to any look! This little bandana is my version of autumn in bandana form…it’s a gentle blush color with marigold and burgundy floral detailing. I couldn’t love it more!! (Also will be $9 for Black Friday with DONTSTRESS!)

I’m all about cozy cardigans and have embraced them more than ever this autumn (see another favorite here!). This one is thick and versatile. It’s a light gray knit mixture — definitely good quality. (It’s $30 for Black Friday.) I know it will transition well from fall to winter too, when I start to slightly move my wardrobe  from natural, earthy tones to more black, grays, and blues!

I can’t get over all of the pretty fall blooms and vegetables! What is it about fall that makes it so effortlessly beautiful? I’m genuinely in awe of the colors and variety of the harvest. This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful to be a part of this wonderful world, live in such a dynamic city, have good health and wellness, learn from such excellent professors, be supported by the best friends, and celebrate the rest of this week with a family I couldn’t love more.
